Indian Creek Temporary Library Opens
Construction DesignWorks, LLC (“CDW”) announces the completion of the new 9,500 SF Indian Creek Temporary Olathe Library. On July 5th the Olathe, Kansas City Council approved a two year lease to the library while the new location just down the street is under construction. This new space in the Sante Fe Shopping Center at 13511 South Mur-Len Road was converted in an ambitious 5-week design-build construction schedule. The library will host all of Indian Creek’s collections, programming and story time space, book drop, public computers and a reading area. Although adorned mostly in neutral gray colors there is a bright green feature wall that draws the eye to encompass the whole space. The Grand Opening will take place Friday, Sept 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
An Efficient Construction Project
“Working with Jeff Blakeman and Bob Miller at the City of Olathe was a very well-organized and efficient experience that included excellent communication as well as a great team approach”, says Scott Hamele, President of Construction DesignWorks, LLC. “Any challenges encountered were dealt with in a timely manner to ensure the space was delivered on time. The team of subcontractors on this job really went above and beyond to finish this project on time and on budget. This was one of the most streamlined jobs we’ve ever been involved with.”
